The Flea Market Strain is of unknown origin. Deeper study of this most friendly and interesting strain would suggest a rich trading history. Visions of trading towns and traders seem to come from the ancient trading routes of the silk road that stretched from China to the Europe. Traders along these routes would have collected only the finest mushrooms from the warm wet valleys to take to market to ensure they did not come back empty handed. This strain is of show quality and the spores are some of the most exquisite I have ever seen. A trader selected strain. Expect an interesting trek back in time where anything and everything is for sale at The Flea Market.
The flea market grows well on brown rice flour as the spawn and straw or hpoo/coir substrate to bulk out the mix. Large thick stems and rocket shaped caps on a medium height mushroom. Heavy bruising when disturbed.
Personally i think this is a great strain for microscopic study. Packed with colorful spores. Soaked in history.
