Description
300ml Injection jars containing Distilled and Sterilised water.
Under sterile conditions. All you need to do is Scrape your spore print into the jar of water. Screw the lid back on and enjoy your new Spore snow globe.
To remove the solution wipe the port with an alcohol swab.
Using a new 21g needle, penetrate the centre of the injection port. Suck up required amount.
Using a 21g needle will make a very fine hole. in the injection port. Although the Injection port is self sealing, adding a piece of micro pore tape will secure your jar whilst your store it in the fridge 2-8degc.
It is a good idea to test the spore solution on a Petri Dish or Jar containing agar. Incubate 25-26c
If using petri dishes. Its a top tip to squirt the spore solution in a circle. This way it is easier to tell if the agar has grown contamination in the circle because the solution is dirty or out side the circle because your test conditions were not sterile.
If the solution tests good, you will get nice white growth called mycelium. If any other colours show it is not good to use. If the agar grows any contamination the contents of the jar are also contaminated. Keep your agar samples.
If contamination is the case. Pour away the jars contents. Fill the jar with distilled water and pressure cook with a loosened lid for 2hrs @15psi. The jar is ready to use again.
You can cut clean segments from your agar and transfer these to new agar until you have a clean sample. For Agar jars this is done with Syringe.
Once a jar has tested clean (Clean meaning only nice white mycelium) you will have about 260ml of spore solution to use when ever you wish
Good luck
