2019 Black Belt Grading
The Ninja Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Fellowship exam this year was held at Professor Ray’s dojo in Ottawa on 6 July 2019. For only the second time in Ninja Fellowship history we had two women going for thier Fellowship black belts at the same time; Mariane Gravel and Gabrielle Bessette.
The last such occasion was in 1972. Mariane trained with Professor Ray in Ottawa, and Professor Dave in Kingston has been working with Gabrielle. Both candidates did thier dojos, senseis and themselves proud. Prior to and during thier exam they exhibited Fellowship values of honour, discipline, respect and friendship in an exempliary manner. The Fellowhip Board of Directors looks forward to assisting both new black belts in achieving their goals and securing the future of our Fellowship.
