Qatar’s Mubarak Shannan wins Tamdeen Pro League in Kuwait

Kuwait: Qatar’s Mubarak Shannan won the Tamdeen Pro League for tennis, held at the Rafael Nadal Academy in Kuwait.

In the final, Mubarak defeated his Emirati counterpart Omar Al Awadhi, with a score of 2-1.

Mubarak was exempted from competing in the first round of the championship and started his participation in the second round, defeating Kuwaiti opponent Abdul Rahman Abdullah, with a score of 6-0 6-2 to qualify for the quarter-finals.

In the quarter-finals, he continued his brilliance and defeated Kuwait’s Hussein Al Shatti 6-4 6-1 to advance to semifinals where he edged past Kuwait’s Essa Qabazad 3-6 7-6 7-6

Khalid Al Khulaifi, Board members of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation and head of the national teams committee, praised the achievement of Mubarak in this tournament in which a group of professional tennis players took part.

Al Khulaifi affirmed the federation’s keenness and commitment to supporting Qatari players as they are the cornerstones in the development and advancement of tennis.

For his part, Mubarak expressed his happiness at achieving the title, adding that this achievement will be a great incentive for him in the coming events.
